RIDE THE ROLLER COASTER (PART 2)

Childrens Poetry & Rhyming Stories by David Bray

The children raised their arms up high and screamed out with delight
Mrs Chips was grimacing, her face was turning white
The roller coaster soared, then dipped, looped the loop and flew
Champ and Darl and Myn and BB's dreams had all come true

The car was shaking, turning left, then quickly to the right
Up and down and all around, a rocket taking flight
Mrs Chips decided she would open up her eyes
And actually enjoyed the view, so much to her surprise

She raised her arms and waved her hands and smiled at everyone
"I never knew a roller coaster could be so much fun!"
Then the car went 'round and 'round and up inside a tower
Finally descending at a hundred miles per hour

When the ride was over, they were sitting in the car
Champ and Darl and Myn and BB raised their safety bar
"Come on Mrs Chips," Myn said, "The ghost train's waiting for us"
"And don't forget the house of mirrors!" they all sang in chorus

Darl and Myn were smiling from their roller coaster seat
Everyone was happy, their adventure was complete
"Close your safety bars," said Mrs Chips, she winked and then
"Let's ride this rockin', rollin' roller coaster once again!"
