SNAKES AND LADDERS

"Not so quick," said Mrs Chips, "I'm not as old as you!
On the day that I was born, you were twenty two"
"I don't care!" screamed Charlie Fripp, "Just get on with the game,
You're all so dull and boring, I just don't know why I came"

Mrs Chips just shook her head and then she shook the dice
Then she threw a double six and said, "Gee whiz, that's nice"
Hurry up!" yelled Charlie Fripp, "I'm sitting in last place!"
Larry Lobb said, "Charlie, slow and steady wins the race!"

Charlie Fripp just rolled his eyes, "Oh, come on Mrs Chips
I'll only say this once, so listen up and read my lips!
I've had to wait as everybody else has had their throw
No longer will I wait, the time has come for me to go!"

Then he leapt up to his feet and stomped right out the door
Mrs Chips said, "Sorry, I won't invite him anymore"
Little Gracie Garner smiled, "Let's get on with the game"
Everyone applauded and agreed to do the same

Nora climbed a ladder, Larry Lobb went for a slide
"Up and down we go upon this snakes and ladders ride!"
Everyone was laughing, they were having so much fun
And although it's not important, Captain Pete the pilot won
