BRING ME BEEF AND PORK

Childrens Poetry & Rhyming Stories by David Bray

All the gang from Flutterland have healthy appetites
They like to visit restaurants on breezy summer nights
Mrs Chips brings little Gracie Garner on the bus
Larry Lobb and Nora Nodd yell out, "Please wait for us!"

They drive for quite a while until they see the lights so pretty
Champ and Darl and all the rest are waiting in the city
Charlie Fripp is very hungry, he is in a mood
"No more wasting time," he shouts, "Take me to the food!"

Mrs Chips says, "OK people, where shall we all eat?"
"I don't care," says Charlie Fripp, "As long as there is meat!"
Nora Nodd suggests they eat where they can see the moon
"I like the way it shines upon the soup within my spoon"

They finally find a restaurant a little while later
The gang is led to all there tables by a lovely waiter
His pants are black, his shirt is white, his cumerbund is pink
He leans across and asks them, "Would you like a little drink?"

Charlie Fripp says, "No I wouldn't, bring me beef and pork,
In less than 20 seconds I want meat upon my fork!"
Myn says, "I will have the curry, spicy is the taste,
And I will eat it all, not a bit will go to waste"
