WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Childrens Poetry & Rhyming Stories by David Bray

Champ would eat a chocolate cake for breakfast and for lunch
For a snack mid-afternoon, on toffee he would munch
He'd lick his lips and rub his tummy, then he'd roll his eyes
He'd grip his knife and fork and swallow seven apple pies

Darl would ride a pony through a field of purple flowers
Stopping at a castle to explore inside the towers
She'd sit upon the throne and then pretend she was the queen
The most majestic, truly regal, royal there has been

BB would be quite content to stay in his pyjamas
And look through colour picture books at camels, goats and llamas
He'd draw a giant caterpillar crawling on a house
And a fire engine being driven by a mouse

Myn would plug in her guitar and turn it way up loud
Entertaining all in her imaginery crowd
Funky children's music would be weaving down the street
Everyone in Flutterland would clap and tap their feet

Mrs Chips would walk through town pulling out the weeds
With her dustpan and her brush she'd sweep the nasty seeds
She'd plant a million pretty flowers if she had the chance
Just to see the butterflys and ladybeetles dance

The End
