WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Childrens Poetry & Rhyming Stories by David Bray

Charlie Fripp would walk through town pulling out the plants
He'd rip out all the pretty flowers if he had the chance
And then he would replace them all by spreading tiny seeds
To grow his favourite black and spikey itchy scratchy weeds

Captain Pete would fly a rocket right around the moon
Or maybe fly to London in a blue hot air balloon
And then he'd land a helicopter gently on the snow
Atop a giant mountain, yelling, "Hello down below!"

Nora Nodd would play her cello, in a concert hall
And everyone would clap and cheer and say they had a ball
Then she'd move to centre stage and bow and raise her cello
All the while dressed up in twenty seven shades of yellow

Little Gracie Garner would be happy playing jacks
Or skipping rope or organising blocks in tidy stacks
Or pulling funny faces in the mirror just for fun
Or going to the park so she could cartwheel, jump and run

Larry Lobb would ride his pushbike right down to the jetty
Then turn around and ride it back and cook up some spaghetti
He'd call up all his friends and then invite them 'round for dinner
And they'd say, "Larry this spaghetti's wonderful, you winner!"
