CHARLIE FRIPP WAS HOME ALONE

Childrens Poetry & Rhyming Stories by David Bray

Champ was next to get some cake, he ate it with a spoon
Myn said, "I'm not hungry, I'll just play with this balloon!"
Darl said, "Myn you're crazy," as she took a giant bite
When BB finally got some cake he jumped and yelled, "Alright!"

Mrs Chips was chuffed to see her cake was such a hit
Nora said, "I don't want much, maybe a tiny bit."
Larry Lobb was just in time to taste the chocolate treat
"Don't forget to save a piece for good old Captain Pete!"

Gracie washed her plate then opened up a music box
While Charlie Fripp was home alone sorting out his socks
Champ said, "Thanks!" to Mrs Chips and gave her a big hug
Myn was doing funky, hip-hop dancing on the rug

Darl was in the kitchen washing up the dirty spoons
BB helped by drying them while balancing balloons
Mrs Chips was just so happy, smiling ear to ear
Nora Nodd surprised them all by playing puppeteer

Larry Lobb applauded and at once they yelled out, "More!"
As Captain Pete the pilot came a rushing through the door
Little Gracie Garner served him chocolate cake and tea
While Charlie Fripp was home alone as miserable as can be
